The Hungarian Heritage House  is a national institution founded in 2001 by the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage with the purpose of preserving and promoting Hungarian folk tradition.

Vegetation Heritage of Hungary
The main goals of the MÉTA Programme are the whole country survey and recognition of the actual state of natural & semi-natural vegetation of Hungary, and sound evaluation of our natural vegetation heritage.

Intangible Cultural Heritage in Hungary 



Hungary ratified the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2006. The Hungarian National Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage and the Hungarian National Inventory of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was established in 2008.
Since April 2009 the responsible body for the implementation of the Convention in Hungary is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Hungarian Open Air Museum. Currently eight elements are inscribed on the national inventory.

Hungarian Folk Music
